• Ensure that the positive and negative DC cables are laid at a safe distance to
avoid crossing and to reduce the possibility of short circuits.
• The positive and negative DC voltage must be strictly tested to ensure that the
voltage range meets the requirements of the product and the positive and nega-
tive polarity are connected correctly.
6.6 DC Connection
6.6.1 Checking Before Connection
Check the following items before DC cable connection:
• Measure the open-circuit voltage of the storage batteries and make sure the open circuit
voltage does not exceed the max. DC voltage;
• Confirm the positive and negative polarity and make marks.
Max charge voltage of the storage batteries cannot exceed the PCS max. DC input
voltage. Too high max charge voltage may damage the PCS.
Connect the cables by strictly following the marks inside the device.
The DC positive and negative cables laid on site should be routed at a certain
distance.
Connect the DC cables only after all checking items and measuring results meet the
requirements.
6.6.2 Cable Connection
UD series PCS support a single DC input and multiple DC inputs.
DC side terminals of a single-branch PCS are shown in the figure below.
