Mechanical Mounting
5.1 Installation Site Selection
• With TYPE3R protection degree, it is suitable to install the PCS outdoors. But as an elec-
trical device, the PCS cannot be stored in a place with high humidity for a long time.
• Considering noise generated during running, it is recommended to install the PCS in pla-
ces far away from residential areas. If it is installed close to residential areas, take noise
reduction measures to meet the noise control requirements.
• Never place any flammable substance inside or around the installation place.
• The rated power operating temperature of SC1200UD-US/SC1375UD-US/SC1575UD-
US/SC1725UD-US/SC2000UD-US is recommended to be ranged between -35℃ and ＋
45℃, and the rated power operating temperature of SC2500UD-US is recommended to
be ranged between -35℃ and ＋40℃, so as to ensure the optimum performance.
• The installation foundation should be suitable for the weight of the PCS. Specifically, re-
fer to “Floor”.
• The clearances around the PCS should be suitable enough for heat dissipation and fu-
ture maintenance or other operations. Specifically, refer to “Clearance Space”.
• The PCS should be installed in places easy for observing LEDs.
5.2 Installation Environment Design
With the following requirements met, the PCS can be installed outdoors:
5.2.1 Floor
The PCS should be installed on a flat concrete foundation that meets the following
requirements:
• The unevenness is <0.25% without any sinks.
• The compression ratio should be 98%.
• Soil stress must be 150kN/m
2
.
• The foundation can bear the weight of the PCS.
• The foundation must be made of fire-resistant materials.
• The foundation should be slightly higher than the ground surface to avoid stagnant water
after rains or snow melting.
During foundation construction, cable trenches should be designed according to overall
plant design and cable routing on the bottom of the PCS.
