Connecting the Purge Gas
18. Connect the purge gas to the rheometer as seen
in Figure 5.20 to the right. If you have a suitable
supply of nitrogen gas (2 bar minimum pres-
sure, nominal 10 liters per minute flow rate) it is
recommended that you connect the feed gases
to the ETC as shown in Figure 5.22. Otherwise,
connect as shown in Figure 5.21 below.
CAUTION: The reducing valve
is factory-set to 10 liters per
minute and should not be
adjusted.

Removal of the ETC is the reverse of the preceding steps. Note, however that you can leave the oven in place
when you wish to use the one of the Peltier systems.
