The following is a list of the pop-up messages that might appear on the VR-10 under certain conditions.
Refer to this list if one of these pop-up messages appears and you want to check the meaning or
determine a suitable response.
Message Meaning and response
FILE
NAME
ERR
The SPLIT FILE function would cause the le name to exceed 200 characters. The
SPLIT FILE function adds
_a
or
_b
to the end of the le name. Before choosing the
SPLIT FILE function, connect the unit to a computer and edit the le name to less than
198 characters.
DUP
FILE
NAME
The SPLIT FILE function would cause the le name to be the same as that of an
existing le. The SPLIT FILE function adds
_a
or
_b
to the end of the le name.
Before choosing the SPLIT FILE function, connect the unit to a computer and edit the
le name.
FILE
NOT
FOUND
The le added to the playlist cannot be found or a le could be damaged. Please
check the le in question.
NON-SUPPORTED
The audio le is not a supported format. Please see “7–Connecting with a Computer
for le formats that this unit can use.
BATTERY
EMPTY
The battery is almost out of power. Replace the AAA batteries.
A-B
TOO
SHORT
The A and B points are too close together. Reset the A and B points with at least 1
second between them.
FILE
NOT
FOUND
PLAYLIST
The le in the Playlist cannot be found. Please conrm that the le is still in the
SOUND Folder.
