PROP-SHAFT

7. Slide front prop-shaft off the front differential.
8. Slide rear prop-shaft off of the rear differential (Ref.
Fig. 4).

9. Remove the front and rear prop-shafts from the vehi-
cle.
10. Installation is the reverse of removal. Clean the prop-
shaft, gearbox and differential splines with a clean
rag. Apply fresh grease to the splines before installa-
tion.
11. Tighten the hardware to the torque values specified:

4, 5 45 - 50 ft. lbs. (61 - 68 Nm)
6, 7 12 - 16 ft. lbs. (16 - 22)
