Problem:AmessageisdisplayedindicatingthatanunauthorizedWANcardisinstalled.
Solution:TheWANcardisnotsupportedonthiscomputer.RemovetheWANcard.Formoreinformation,

Bluetoothproblems
Note:CheckyourconnectionanytimeandensurethatnootherBluetooth-enableddeviceissearchingfor
thedevicetowhichyouwanttoconnect.SimultaneoussearchingisnotallowedintheBluetoothconnection.
•Problem:SounddoesnotcomefromtheBluetoothheadset/headphonesbutcomesfromthelocal
speakereventhoughtheBluetoothheadset/headphonesisconnectedusingaHeadsetprofileorAV
profile.
Solution:Dothefollowing:
1.Exittheprogramthatusesthesounddevice(forexample,WindowsMediaPlayer).
2.GotoControlPanel,andensurethatyouviewControlPanelbyCategory.
3.ClickHardwareandSound➙Sound➙Playback.
4.IfyouareusingaHeadsetprofile,selectBluetoothHands-freeAudioandclicktheSetDefault
button.IfyouareusinganAVprofile,selectStereoAudioandclicktheSetDefaultbutton.
5.ClickOKtoclosetheSoundwindow.
•Problem:PIMitemssentfromtheWindows7operatingsystemscannotbereceivedcorrectlyintothe
addressbookofanyotherBluetooth-enableddevice.
Solution:TheWindows7operatingsystemsendsPIMitemsinXMLformat,butmostBluetooth-enabled
deviceshandlePIMitemsinvCardformat.IfanotherBluetooth-enableddevicecanreceiveafilethrough
Bluetooth,aPIMitemsentfromtheWindows7mightbesavedasafilewiththeextension.contact.
ThinkPadpointingdeviceproblems
•Problem:Thepointerdriftswhenthecomputeristurnedonorafteritresumesnormaloperation.
Solution:ThepointermightdriftwhenyouarenotusingtheTrackPointpointingdeviceduringnormal
operation.ThisisanormalcharacteristicoftheTrackPointpointingdeviceandisnotadefect.Pointer
driftingmightoccurforseveralsecondsunderthefollowingconditions:
