Problem:Theacpoweradapterisconnectedtothecomputerandtheworkingelectricaloutlet,butthe
poweradapter(powerplug)iconisnotdisplayedintheWindowsnotificationarea.Theacpowerindicator
alsodoesnotlightup.
Solution:Dothefollowing:
1.Ensurethattheconnectionoftheacpoweradapteriscorrect.Forinstructionsonhowtoconnectthe
acpoweradapter,see“Usingtheacpoweradapter”onpage25.
2.Iftheconnectionoftheacpoweradapteriscorrect,turnoffthecomputer,andthendisconnecttheac
poweradapterandremovetheremovablebattery.
3.Reinstallthebatteryandreconnecttheacpoweradapter,andthenturnonthecomputer.
4.IfthepoweradaptericonstillisnotdisplayedintheWindowsnotificationarea,havetheacpower
adapterandyourcomputerserviced.

•Problem:Mycomputerisgettingnopoweratall.
Solution:Checkthefollowingitems:
1.Verifythepowerbutton.Thepowerbuttonisilluminatedwheneverthecomputerison.
2.Checkallpowerconnections.Removeanypowerstripsandsurgeprotectorstoconnecttheac
poweradapterdirectlytotheacpoweroutlet.
3.Inspecttheacpoweradapter.Checkforanyphysicaldamage,andensurethatthepowercableis
firmlyattachedtotheadapterbrickandthecomputer.
4.Verifythattheacpowersourceisworkingbyattachinganotherdevicetotheoutlet.
•Problem:Mycomputerdoesnotrunonbatterypower.
Solution:Checkthefollowingitems:
1.Removeandreinstalltheremovablebatterytoensurethatitisproperlyconnected.
2.Ifthebatteryrunsoutofpower,attachtheacpoweradaptertorechargethebattery.
3.Ifthebatteryischargedbutthecomputerdoesnotrun,replacethebatterywithanewone.

Solution:Turnoffthecomputerbypressingandholdingthepowerbuttonforfoursecondsormore.Ifthe
systemstilldoesnotrespond,removetheacpoweradapterandresetthesystembyinsertingoneendof
