•Extend:Extendsthevideooutputfromyourcomputerdisplaytoanexternaldisplay.Youcandragand
moveitemsbetweenthetwodisplays.
•Projectoronly:Showsthevideooutputonlyonanexternaldisplay.

Changingdisplaysettings
Youcanchangethesettingsforboththecomputerdisplayandtheexternaldisplay.Forexample,you
candefinewhichoneisthemaindisplayandwhichoneisthesecondarydisplay.Youalsocanchange
theresolutionandorientation.
Tochangedisplaysettings,dothefollowing:
1.Right-clickonthedesktopandselectScreenResolution(Windows7)orDisplaysettings(Windows
10).
2.Selectthedisplaythatyouwanttoconfigure.
3.Changedisplaysettingsasyouwant.
Note:Ifyousetahigherresolutionforthecomputerdisplaythantheexternaldisplay,onlypartofthescreen
canbeshownontheexternaldisplay.
Travelingwithyourcomputer

•Whenyourcomputergoesthroughthex-raymachinesatairportsecuritystations,itisimportanttokeep

•Considerbringinganelectricaladapterforuseonanairplaneorautomobile.
•Ifyoucarryanacpoweradapter,detachtheaccordfromittoavoiddamagingthecord.
Traveltipsonairplanes
Ifyoucarryyourcomputerontoanairplane,observethefollowingtips:
•Becarefulabouttheseatinfrontofyouonairplanes.Angleyourcomputerdisplaysothatitdoesnotget
caughtwhenthepersoninfrontofyouleansback.
•Whentakingoff,remembertoturnoffyourcomputerorputitintohibernationmode.
•Ifyouintendtouseyourcomputerorwirelessservices(suchasInternetandBluetooth),checkwiththe
airlineforrestrictionsandavailabilityofservicesbeforeboardingtheairplane.Iftherearerestrictionson
theuseofcomputerswithwirelessfeaturesontheairplane,youmustabidebythoserestrictions.
TheAirplanemodeissupportedontheWindows10operatingsystem.IntheAirplanemode,allwireless
featuresaredisabled.
