Thissectionprovidesinstructionsonhowtoconnectanexternaldisplay,choosedisplaymodes,and
changedisplaysettings.
Youcanuseanexternaldisplaysuchasaprojectororamonitortogivepresentationsortoexpandyour
workspace.
Yourcomputersupportsthefollowingvideoresolution,iftheexternaldisplayalsosupportsthatresolution.
•Upto4096x2304pixels/60Hz,withanexternaldisplayconnectedtotheUSB-Cconnector
•Upto4096x2160pixels/24Hz,or3840x2160pixels/30Hzwithanexternaldisplayconnected
totheHDMIconnector

Connectinganexternaldisplay
Youcanuseeitherawireddisplayorawirelessdisplay.Thewireddisplaycanbeconnectedtoavideo
connectorsuchastheHDMIconnectorandtheUSB-Cconnectorbyacable.Thewirelessdisplaycanbe
addedthroughtheMiracast
®
function.

Note:Whenyouconnectanexternalmonitor,avideointerfacecablewithaferritecoreisrequired.
1.Connecttheexternaldisplaytoanappropriatevideoconnectoronyourcomputer,suchastheHDMI
connectorortheUSB-Cconnector.
2.Connecttheexternaldisplaytoanelectricaloutlet.
3.Turnontheexternaldisplay.
Ifyourcomputercannotdetecttheexternaldisplay,right-clickonthedesktop,andthenclickScreen
resolution/Displaysettings➙Detect.
•Connectingawirelessdisplay
Note:Touseawirelessdisplay,ensurethatbothyourcomputerandtheexternaldisplaysupportthe
Miracastfeature.
Dooneofthefollowing:
