1.Turnonthecomputer.Whenthelogoscreenisdisplayed,presstheF1key.TheThinkPadSetup
programmainmenuopens.
Note:Ifyouhavesetasupervisorpassword,theThinkPadSetupprogrammainmenuwillbedisplayed
afteryouenterthepassword.YoucanstartThinkPadSetupbypressingEnterinsteadofenteringthe
supervisorpassword.However,youcannotchangetheparametersthatareprotectedbythesupervisor

.
2.Usethecursorkeystomovetoanitemyouwanttochange.Whentheitemishighlighted,press
Enter.Asubmenuisdisplayed.
3.Changetheitemsyouwishtochange.Tochangethevalueofanitem,pressthefollowingkeys:
•F6orthecombinationofShiftand+:Changetoahighervalue.
•F5or–:Changetoalowervalue.
Iftheitemhasasubmenu,pressEntertodisplayit.
4.PressEsctoexitfromthesubmenu.
5.Ifyouareonanestedsubmenu,pressEscrepeatedlyuntilyoureachtheThinkPadSetupprogram
mainmenu.
Note:Ifyouneedtorestorethesettingstotheiroriginalstateasofthetimeofpurchase,pressF9to
loadthedefaultsettings.YoualsocanselectanoptionontheRestartsubmenutoloadthedefault
settingsordiscardthechanges.
6.SelectRestart.Movethecursortotheoptionyouwantforrestartingyourcomputer,thenpressEnter.
Yourcomputerrestarts.

beavailableonyourcomputer,andsomemenuitemsmightbeslightlydifferentfromtheactualmenuitems
displayedonyourcomputer.
