1.PressCtrl+Alt+F12.TheIntelGraphicsandMediaControlPanelwindowopens.
2.SelectAdvancedModeandclickOK.
3.SelectMultipleDisplays.
4.IntheOperatingModeeld,selectanyofthefollowingoptions.
–SingleDisplay:Dependingonyourconguration,thecomputeroutputisdisplayedoneitherthe
computerdisplayortheDVImonitor.
–CloneDisplays:Thesamecomputeroutputisdisplayedonboththecomputerdisplayand
theDVImonitor.
–ExtendedDesktop:Differentcomputeroutputisdisplayedonthecomputerdisplayandthe
DVImonitor.
•ForWindows8:
1.Movethecursortothetop-rightorbottom-rightcornerofthescreenandclicktheDevicescharm.
2.ClickSecondscreenandselectDuplicate,Extend,orSecondScreenOnly.
ConsiderationsforattachingaDVImonitor
ConnecttheDVImonitortotheexpansionunit,andturnitonbeforeyouturnonthecomputer.Otherwisethe
systemcannotrecognizetheDVImonitor.IftheoptionforenablingtheDVImonitorintheDisplayProperties
windowisnotdisplayed,tryclosingthewindowandopeningitagain.Iftheoptionstillisnotdisplayed,make
surethattheconnectorofthemonitorisattachedrmly,andrepeattheprocedureforattachingthemonitor.
UsingtheMiniDisplayPortconnector
YourcomputerhasaMiniDisplayPortconnector,adigitaldisplayinterfaceforconnectiontovarious
externaldevices,suchasCRTmonitors,LCDmonitors,projectors,orevenhigh-denitiontelevisions.This
compactconnectorenablesaplug-and-playsetupandsupportsadaptersthatcanplugintoDVI,VGA,or
HDMIconnectors.
TheMiniDisplayPortconnectorofyourcomputersupportsaudioaswellasvideostreaming.
Settingupapresentation
Todisplayinformationandmakepresentations,youcanattachadataprojectortoyourcomputerthrough
theVGAconnectoronyourcomputer.
Note:Itmaytakeseveralsecondsbeforetheprojectordisplaystheimage.Ifyoudonotseeyourdesktop
displayedafter60seconds,trypressingFn+F7toswitchbetweendifferentdisplayoutputlocations.
Yourprojectormighthaveoneormoreaudio-inputconnectors.Toprojectsound,youwillneedtoattachthe
comboaudiojackonyourcomputertotheseconnectors,usinganaudiocable(commerciallyavailable).
UsingtheExtenddesktopfunction
YourcomputersupportsafunctionnamedtheExtenddesktopfunction.WiththeExtenddesktopfunction,
youcandisplayoutputonboththecomputerdisplayandanexternalmonitor.Youalsocandisplaydifferent
desktopimagesoneachmonitor.
ConsiderationsforusingtheExtenddesktopfunction
•WhenaprogramusingDirectDraworDirect3Displayedinfull-screenmode,itisshownonlyonthe
primarydisplay.
