Usingtheacpoweradapter
Thepowertorunyourcomputercancomeeitherfromthelithium-ion(Li-ion)batterypack,orfromacpower
throughtheacpoweradapter.Whileyouuseacpower,thebatterychargesautomatically.
Theacpoweradapterthatcomeswithyourcomputerhastwobasiccomponents:
•Thetransformerpackthatconvertsacpoweradapterforusewiththecomputer.
•Thepowercordthatplugsintotheacoutletandintothetransformerpack.
Attention:Usinganimproperpowercordmightcauseseveredamagetoyourcomputer.
Connectingtheacpoweradapter
Tousetheacpoweradapter,dothefollowing.Besuretotakethesestepsintheorderinwhichtheyare
givenhere.
1.Connecttheacpoweradaptertothepowerjackofthecomputer.
2.Connectthepowercordtothetransformerpack.
3.Plugthepowercordintoanelectricaloutlet.
Tipsonusingtheacpoweradapter
•Whentheacpoweradapterisnotinuse,disconnectitfromtheelectricaloutlet.
•Donotbindthepowercordtightlyaroundtheacpoweradaptertransformerpackwhenitisconnectedto
thetransformer.
•Beforeyouusetheacpoweradaptertochargethebattery,makesurethatthebatterytemperature
isatleast10°C(50°F).
•Youcanchargethebatterywhentheacpoweradapterisconnectedtothecomputerandthebatteryis
installed.Youneedtochargeitinanyofthefollowingconditions:
–Whenyoupurchaseanewbattery
–Ifthebatterystatusindicatorstartsblinking
–Ifthebatteryhasnotbeenusedforalongtime
Chargingthebattery
Whenyoucheckbatterystatusandndthatthepercentageofpowerremainingisloworwhenthepower
alarmalertsyouthattheremainingpowerislow,youneedtochargeyourbatteryorreplaceitwitha
chargedbattery.
Ifanacoutletisconvenient,plugtheacpoweradapterintoit,andtheninsertthejackintothecomputer.
Thebatterywillbefullychargedinabout3to6hours.Thechargingtimeisaffectedbythebatterysize
andthephysicalenvironment.Youcancheckthebatterychargingstatusatanytimebylookingatthe
batterymetericonattheWindowsnoticationarea.
Note:Toincreasethelifeofthebattery,thecomputerdoesnotstartrechargingthebatteryiftheremaining
powerisgreaterthan95%.
Maximizingbatterylife
Tomaximizethelifeofthebattery,dothefollowing:
•Usethebatteryuntilthechargeiscompletelydepleted,thatis,usethebatteryuntilthebatterystatus
indicatorstartsblinkingorange.
•Rechargethebatterycompletelybeforeusingit.Thebatteryisfullychargedifthebatteryindicatorshows
greenwhentheacpoweradapterispluggedin.
