WiMAX
SomeThinkPadnotebookcomputerscomewithabuilt-inwirelessLANcardintegratingWiMAXtechnology.
Thislong-rangewirelessdatatransmissiontechnologybasedonthe802.16standardisexpectedtoprovide
theusera“lastmile”broadbandconnectivitysimilartothatprovidedbycableorADSL,butwithouttheneed
tophysicallyconnectacabletothepersonalcomputer.
Bluetooth
Bluetoothisoneofanumberoftechnologiesusedtocreateawirelesspersonalareanetwork.Bluetooth
canconnectdevicesashortdistancefromoneanother,andiscommonlyusedforconnectingperipheral

3.Double-clickanetworktoconnecttoit.Providerequiredinformationifneeded.
Ifyouneedtoconnecttodifferentwirelessnetworksindifferentlocations,usethefollowingsoftwareto
managemultiplenetworkprolessothatthecomputerconnectstoanavailablenetworkautomaticallywhen
thelocationchanges:
