Toswipeyourngeroverthereader,placetheballofyournger,thatis,thecentralpartofthengerprint,on
thesmallcircleabovethereader.Makesurethattheentiretopjointofthengerisonthereader.ThenApply
lightpressureandswipeyourngeracrossthereaderinonesmoothmotion.
Loggingontothesystem
Afteryouenrollyourngerprint,logontothesystembydoingthefollowing:
1.Setapower-onpasswordoraharddiskpassword,orboth.
2.Turnyourcomputeroffandthenonagain.
3.Whenprompted,swipeyourngeroverthereader.
4.Onrequest,typeyourpower-onpassword,yourharddiskpassword,orboth.Theenrolledngerprintis
nowassociatedwithyourpower-onpassword,yourharddiskpassword,orboth.
Thenexttimeyoustartthecomputer,youcanlogontothesystembyswipingyourngeroverthe
readeronce.
Attention:Ifyoualwaysuseyourngerprinttologontothesystem,youmightforgetyourpassword.Write
downyourpassword,andkeepitinasafeplace.Ifyouforgetitandforsomereasonyoucannotswipe
yourngeracrossthereader,forexample,ifyouinjurethatnger,youcannotstartthecomputerorchange
thepassword.Ifyouforgetyourpower-onpassword,youmusttakeyourcomputertoaLenovoauthorized
serviceroramarketingrepresentativetohavethepasswordcanceled.
Ifyouforgetyourharddiskpassword,Lenovocannotresetyourpasswordorrecoverdatafromthehard
disk.YoumusttakeyourcomputertoaLenovoauthorizedserviceroramarketingrepresentativetohavethe
