mainwindow,chooseReceiverSettingsTrackingObs.
–Verifythereisaclearviewoftheskytoallowsufficientsatellitetracking.
•
AdiscrepancyexistsbetweenthedifferentialstandardsusedattheBaseandRoverreceivers.
–EnsuretheBaseandRoverreceiversusethesamecorrectionsinput/outputformat:
a. ConnectthereceivertoacomputerandopenTRU(see“Connection”intheTopconReceiverUtility(TRU)
ReferenceManual).
b. InTRU,connecttothereceiver.
c. OntheTRUmainwindow, chooseReceiverSettingsPorts.
d. Double‐clickonthe
porttobeconfiguredandmakesuretheinputmodeoftheRovermatchestheformat
oftheBaseoutputmode(i.e.RTCM3).
•
Poorsatellitegeometry(PDOP/GDOPvaluesaretoohigh).
–Ensuretheelevationmaskislessthan15degrees.
–IncreasethePDOPthreshold.Todothis,ontheTRUmainwindow,chooseReceiverSettingsTrackingObs.
–Conductthesurveyduringatimeperiodwhensatellitevisibilityandgeometryisbetter(ifpossible).

Themodembatteryislow.
•
Thespecifiedbaudrateisincompatiblewiththebaudratesthemodemsupports.Thebaudrateisthe rateatwhichthe
receivertransmitsdifferentialmessagestothemodemandviceversa.
–Changethemodem’sbaudrate.

TheBaseandRovermodemsusedifferentradiolinkparameters.
–ConfiguretheBaseandRoverradiomodemsaccordingtotheprocedureslistedintheTRUReferenceManual.

ThedistancebetweentheBaseandRoveristoofar.
