Adjustments
Parking Brake Adjustment
1. Parkmachineonalevelsurface,engagetheparking
brake, lower the cutting units and stop the engine. Re-
move key from the ignition switch.
2. With parking brake engaged, measure the distance
between the centers of the two (2) pins that secure the
brakespringtothebrakeleverand theequalizer brack-
et. This distance should be from 6.120” to 6.240” (156
to 158 mm) (Fig. 3).
3. If necessary, adjust location of brake cable jam nuts
at brake cable bracket s o that distance between pins is
correct.
4. After adjusting parking brake cables, check that
brake actuator levers are fully released when parking
brakeisnotapplied.Also,whenparkingbrakeisnotap-
plied, front wheels should rotate freely.
