1.ParkthemachineonalevelsurfacewiththePTOswitchoff,lowerthecutting
deck,shutofftheengine,andsettheparkingbrake.
2.ReadallWarning,Cautions,andprecautionslistedatthebeginningofthis
section.
CAUTION
Beforeopeningthehydraulicsystem,operateallthehydraulic
controlstoreleasesystempressureandavoidinjuryfromthe
pressurizedhydraulicuid;refertoReleasingPressurefromthe
HydraulicSystem(page5–5).
3.Raiseandsupporttheoperatorseat,removetheseatplatetogetaccessto
thehydraulicpumpassembly.
4.Cleanthejunctionofthehydraulichoseandrightsidettingonthepump.
Disconnectthehose(item13inFigure57)fromtherightsideofthepump
tting.
IMPORTANT
Ensurethattheuidowindicatorarrowontheowmeteris
showingthattheuidwillowfromthehydraulictube,throughthe
testerandintothepump.
5.Installatesterwiththepressuregaugeandowmeterinseriesbetweenthe
pumpttingandthedisconnectedhose.Ensurethattheowcontrolvalve
onthetesterisfullyopen.
6.Ensurethatthehydraulicuidisatnormaloperatingtemperatureby
operatingthemachineforatleast10minutes.
7.EnsurethatthetractionpedalisintheNEUTRALposition,steeringwheelis
stationary,andparkingbrakeisset.
8.Starttheengineandrunitatlow-idlespeed(1,500to1,650rpm).Checkfor
hydraulic-uidleaksfromthetestconnectionsandcorrectbeforecontinuing
thetest.
9.Withtheenginerunning,movethethrottletofullspeed(3,210rpm)position.
Useaphototactocheckthattheenginespeediscorrect.
10.Verifythepumpowatnoloadasfollows:
A.Recordthetesterpressureandowreadingsatnoload.
B.Unrestrictedpumpoutputshouldbeapproximately15LPM(4GPM).
