RearAxlePivotBushing
Therearaxlemustbeheldinplacesnuglybytheaxlepivotpin.Excessive
movementoftheaxle,whichischaracterizedbyerraticsteering,mightindicate
wornaxlepivotbushing(8).Tocorrecttheproblem,replacethebushingsas
below:
1.Removetherearaxlefromthemachine;refertoRemovingtheRearAxle
(page8–6).
2.Useabushingremovaltooltoextractboththeaxlepivotbushings(8)from
therearaxle(6).
Note:T akecarenottodamageboreofthepivottubeduringthebushing
(8)removal.
3.Cleaninsideofthetubetoremoveallthedirtandforeignmaterial.
4.Applyacoatofgreasetoinsideandoutsideofthenewbushings(8).
5.Pressthenewbushings(8)intotherearaxle(6).Bushing(6)mustbeush
withtheaxletubeafterinstallation.
6.Installtherearaxleontothemachine;refertoInstallingtheRearAxle(page
8–7).
