Thechargepressuretestistherstinaseriesoftestsrecommendedto
determinetractioncircuitperformance.Achargepressuredropofmorethan
20%indicatesaninternalleakinthehydraulicpump.Continuedunitoperation
cangenerateexcessiveheat,causedamagetosealsandothercomponentsin
thehydraulicsystem,andaffectoverallmachineperformance.
SpecialEquipmentRequired:
•Pressuregauge(accuratebelow300psi)withhoseandquickdisconnect
coupling.
•Pressuregauge(accuratebelow2000psi)withhoseandquickdisconnect
coupling.
•Phototach(non−contacttachometer).
1.Oncethetestequipmentisproperlyconnected,youcanruntheengineand
pumptowarmthehydraulicuidtooperatingtemperature.
Anytestprocedurethatrequiresanopenoruncappedline(likeacasedrain
leakcheck)wouldnotapply.Inthoseraresituations,thehydraulicuid
shouldbewarmedbeforedisconnectingthelines.
