5.Afteryouinstallthehigh-owltertothemachine,checkandllthehydraulic
tankwiththecorrectquantityofnewhydraulicuid.
6.Starttheengineandrunitatlow-idlespeed.Checkforhydraulic-uidleaks
atthelterandhoseconnections.Correctanyleaksbeforeyouproceed.
CAUTION
Duringthisprocedure,allthewheelswillbeoffthegroundand
rotating.
Ensurethatthemachineiswellsupportedsoitwillnotmoveand
accidentallyfalltopreventinjuringanyonearoundthemachine.
IMPORTANT
Whileengagingthetractioncircuit,monitortheindicatoronthe
highowhydrauliclter.Iftheindicatorshowsred,eitherreduce
thepressureonthetractionpedalorreducetheenginespeedto
decreasethehydraulicowthroughthelter.
7.Withtheenginerunningatlow-idlespeed,slowlymovethetractionpedalto
theforwarddirectiontoallowowthroughthetractioncircuitandhigh-ow
lter.Keepthetractioncircuitengagedinforwardfor5minuteswhile
graduallyincreasingbothforwardpressureonthetractionpedalandengine
speed.Monitorthelterindicatortoensurethatthegreencolorisshowing
duringoperation.
8.Withtheenginerunningathigh-idlespeedandtractionpedalmovedto
theforwarddirection,periodicallyapplybrakestoincreasepressureinthe
tractioncircuit.Whilemonitoringthelterindicator,continuethisprocessfor
5moreminutes.
IMPORTANT
IfyouareusingalterthatisnottheTorohighowlterthatis
bi-directional,donotpressthetractionpedalinthereversedirection.
Iftheowisreversedwhenusingalterthatisnotbi-directional,
unwantedmaterialfromthelterwillagainenterthetractioncircuit.
9.Withtheenginerunningathigh-idlespeed,alternatelymovethetraction
pedalfromforwardtoreverse.Whilemonitoringthelterindicator,continue
thisprocessfor5moreminutes.
10.Shutofftheengineandremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
11.Removethehighowhydrauliclterandhydraulichosekitfromthemachine.
ConnecttheleftTttingtothehydraulicpump.Ensurethatyouproperly
tightenthehoses;refertoInstallingtheHydraulicHosesandTubes(page
5–8).
12.Lowerthemachinetotheground.
13.Checkthehydraulic-uidlevelinthehydraulictankandaddcorrectquantity
ofuidifnecessary;refertotheOperator’sManual.
