AssemblingtheGearPump
Note:Whenassemblingthegearpump,checkthemarkerlinemadeduringthe
disassemblytoensurethatthepartsareproperlyalignedduringtheassembly.
1.Applycleanhydraulicuidtoallthepartsbeforeyouassemblethem.
Note:Thepressuresealsandback-upringstinthegroovesmachined
intothethrustplates.Thebodysealstinthegroovesmachinedinthe
bodyfaces.
2.Assemblethepumpsectionstartingatthefrontcoverend.Applygreaseor
petroleumjellytonewsectionsealstoholdtheminpositionduringthegear
pumpassembly.
3.Afterthepumphasbeenassembled,tightentheboltsbyhand.Rotatethe
driveshafttocheckforbinding.Protecttheshaftifyouusepliers.
4.Torquetheboltsevenlyto45N∙m(33ft-lb)inacrossingpattern.
