13.Removethewheelmotorfromthemachine.
14.Ifthehydraulicttingsaretoberemovedfromthewheelmotor,markthe
ttingorientationforassemblypurposes.Removethettingsfromthewheel
motoranddiscardtheO-ringsfromthettings.
InstallingtheFrontWheelMotor
1.Ifthehydraulicttingswereremovedfromthewheelmotor,lubricateand
installthenewO-ringstothettings.Toproperlyalignandinstallthettings
intothewheelmotorports,usethemarksthatyoumadeduringtheremoval
process;refertoInstallingtheHydraulicFittings(page5–10).
2.Positionthewheelmotorandbrakecablebracketontotheframe.Ensure
thattheportsinthewheelmotorarefacingtowardstherearofthemachine
(Figure78).
3.Securethewheelmotortotheframewiththe4bolts(1),washers(9)and
nuts(8).Ensurethatthebrakecablebracket(10)ispositionedasnoted
duringthedisassembly.
4.Cleanthetapersofthewheelhubandwheelmotorshaft.
5.Removethecapsorplugsfromthehydraulictubesandwheelttings.
6.LubricateandinstallthenewO-ringstothettingsonthewheelmotor.Use
thelabelsthatyouattachedduringtheremovalprocesstocorrectlyconnect
thehydraulictubestothewheelmotorttings;refertoInstallingtheHydraulic
HosesandTubes(page5–8).
7.Installthebrakeassembly,wheelhub,brakedrum,andfrontwheeltothe
machine;refertoServicingtheBrake(page8–3).
8.Ensuretotorquethelocknut(item5inFigure77)to350N∙m(258ft-lb).
9.Checkthehydraulic-uidlevelinthehydraulictankandaddcorrectquantity
ofuidifnecessary;refertotheOperator’sManual.
10.Operatethemachinefunctionsslowlyuntilairisoutofsystem;referto
ChargingtheHydraulicSystem(page5–72).
11.Starttheengine,checkforhydraulic-uidleaks,repairanyleaksas
necessary,andllthehydraulictankwiththecorrectquantityofnewhydraulic
uidbeforereturningthemachinetoservice.
