10.Loosenandremovethehydraulictubesfromthettingsonthewheelmotor.
Allowthehosestodrainintoasuitablecontainer.
11.Installcleancapsorplugsonthehydraulichosesandttingstoprevent
systemcontamination.
12.Supportthewheelmotortopreventitfromfallingduringremoval.
13.Removethe4bolts(item1inFigure79),washers(5)andnuts(6)that
securesthewheelmotortothespindle.
14.Removethewheelmotorfromthemachine.
15.Ifthehydraulicttingsaretoberemovedfromthewheelmotor,markthe
ttingorientationforassemblypurposes.Removethettingsfromthewheel
motoranddiscardtheO-ringsfromthettings.
InstallingtheRearWheelMotor
1.Ifthehydraulicttingswereremovedfromthewheelmotor,lubricateand
installthenewO-ringstothettings.Toproperlyalignandinstallthettings
intothewheelmotorports,usethemarksthatyoumadeduringtheremoval
process;refertoInstallingtheHydraulicFittings(page5–10).
2.Positiontherearwheelmotortothespindle.Ensurethattheportsinthe
wheelmotorarefacingtowardthefrontofthemachine(Figure80).
3.Securethewheelmotortothespindlewiththe4bolts(item12inFigure
79),washersandnuts.
4.Removethecapsorplugsthatwereinstalledtothehydraulichosesand
ttingsduringtheremovalprocess.
5.LubricateandinstallthenewO-ringstothettingsonthewheelmotor.
Usethelabelsthatyouattachedduringtheremovalprocesstocorrectly
connectthehydraulichosestothewheelmotorttings;refertoInstallingthe
HydraulicHosesandTubes(page5–8).
IMPORTANT
Beforethewheelhubisinstalled,cleanthetapersofthewheelhub
andwheelmotorshaft.Ensurethatthetapersarefreeofgrease,oil,
anddirt.Donotuseanti-seizelubricantwheninstallingthewheel
hub.
6.Positionthewoodruffkey(item4inFigure79)tothekeyslotinthewheel
motorshaft.
IMPORTANT
Donotre-usetheremovedlocknuttosecurethewheelhubtothe
wheelmotor.
7.Installthewheelhubontothemotorshaftandsecurewithnewlocknut(item
8inFigure79).
8.Ensuretotorquethelocknutto350N∙m(258ft-lb).
9.Installtherearwheeltothemachine;refertoInstallingtheWheels(page
7–4).
