5.Disconnectthehydraulichosesandtubesfromthettingsinthedifferential
valve.Allowthelinestodrainintoasuitablecontainer.Removeanddiscard
theO-ringsfromthettings.
6.Installcleancapsorplugsonthehydrauliclinesandttingstoprevent
systemcontamination.
7.Removethe2bolts(item6inFigure82),washers(5and2)andnuts(1)that
securesthedifferentialvalvetothechassis.
8.Removethedifferentialvalvefromthemachine.
9.Ifnecessary,removethehydraulicttingsfromthedifferentialvalve.Discard
theO-ringsthatwereremoved.
InstallingtheDifferentialValve
1.Ifthehydraulicttingswereremovedfromthedifferentialvalve,lubricatenew
O-ringswithcleanhydraulicuid,positiontheO-ringstothettings,and
installthettingsintothedifferentialvalve;refertoInstallingtheHydraulic
Fittings(page5–10).
2.Positionthedifferentialvalvetothechassisandsecurewiththe2bolts(item
6inFigure82),washers(5and2)andnuts(1).
3.Removethecapsandplugsfromthehydrauliclinesandttingsthatwere
installedduringtheremovalprocess.
4.LubricateandinstallthenewO-ringsontothedifferentialvalvettings.
5.Usingthelabelsthatyouattachedduringdifferentialvalveremoval,correctly
connectthehydraulichosesandtubestothedifferentialvalve;referto
InstallingtheHydraulicHosesandTubes(page5–8).
6.Afteryoucompletetheassembly,ensurethatthehydraulichosesandttings
donotcontactanythingtothechassis.Also,checkforanyhydraulic-uid
leaks.
7.Checkthehydraulic-uidlevelinthehydraulictankandaddcorrectquantity
ofuidifnecessary;refertotheOperator’sManual.
8.Operatethemachinefunctionsslowlyuntilairisoutofsystem;referto
ChargingtheHydraulicSystem(page5–72).
9.Starttheengine,checkforhydraulicuidleaks,repairanyleaksas
necessary,andservicethehydraulictankwiththecorrectquantityofnew
uidbeforereturningthemachinetoservice.
