RemovingtheBladeSpindle
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,raisethecuttingdeck,shutoffthe
engine,settheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
Supportthecuttingdecksothatitcannotfallaccidentally.
2.RemovethePTOdriveshaft,beltcoversanddrivebeltfromthecuttingdeck;
refertoOperator’sManual.
3.Removethebladediscsandcuttingbladesfromthebladespindles;refer
toOperator’sManual.
4.Removethe4socketheadscrews(5),washers(4)andnuts(3)thatsecures
bladespindlestothecuttingdeck.
5.Liftandremovethebladespindlesfromthecuttingdeck.
InstallingtheBladeSpindle
1.Positionthebladespindlesontothecuttingdeck.
2.Securethebladespindleswiththe4socketheadscrews(5),washers(4)
andnuts(3).
3.Installthebladediscsandcuttingbladesontothebladespindles;refer
toOperator’sManual.
4.Slowlyrotatethecuttingbladestoverifythatthebladesdonotcontactany
deckcomponents.
5.Installthedrivebeltontothecuttingdeckandadjustthedrivebelttension;
refertoOperator’sManual.
IMPORTANT
Apneumaticgreaseguncanproducehighpressureinsidethe
spindlehousingthatcandamagethespindleseals.Thus,donotuse
apneumaticgreasegunforgreasingofthespindlehousings.
6.Attachahandpumpgreaseguntogreasettingonspindlehousingandll
housingcavitywithgreaseuntilgreasestartstocomeoutoflowerseal;
refertoOperator’sManual.
7.InstallthecoversandPTOdriveshaftontothecuttingdeck;referto
Operator’sManual.
