IMPORTANT
Ensurethatallpartsremovedfromtheengineduringmaintenance
oroverhaularecorrectlyinstalledontheengine.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceandremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
Blockthewheelswithchockstopreventthemachinefrommoving.
2.Iftheenginebracketswereremovedfromtheengine,installthebracketsto
theengine(Figure20).
CAUTION
Theengineisveryheavy,andahoistnotratedfortheweightofthe
enginemayfail,causingpossibleinjuryanddamagetotheengine.
Usehoistequipmentratedtolifttheengine,whichisapproximately
135kg(298lb).
3.Attachasuitableliftorhoisttothelifttabsonthefrontandrearoftheengine.
Supporttheenginewithliftorhoisttopreventtheenginefromshiftingor
moving.
CAUTION
Use1persontooperatetheliftorhoistwhiletheotherperson
guidestheengineintothemachine.
IMPORTANT
Wheninstallingtheengineensurethatyoudonotdamagethe
engine,fuelhoses,hydrauliclines,electricalharness,radiatoror
otherparts.
4.Carefullylowertheenginetothemachineframe.Ensurethatthefastener
holesoftheenginebracketsarealignedwiththeholesintheengineshock
mount.
5.Securetheenginetotheenginemountbrackets(Figure20).
6.Installthehydraulicpistonpumpandgearpumpontotheengine;referto
InstallingtheHydraulicPumpAssembly(page5–84).
7.Connectallthewireharnessconnectorstothefollowingenginecomponents:
A.Alternatorconnectorandstud.
B.Oilpressureswitchlocatedneartheengineoillter.
C.Connectorandpositivebatterycabletothestartermotor.
D.Hightemperatureshutdownswitchandtemperaturesenderlocatedon
thewaterpumphousing.
E.Fuelstopsolenoidontheinjectorpump.
F.Batterynegativecabletotheinjectorpump.
G.Glowplugstrip.
