Donotopenradiatorcapordraincoolantiftheradiatororengineis
hot.Pressurized,hotcoolantcanescapeandcauseburns.
Ethylene-glycolantifreezeispoisonous.Disposeofcoolantproperly,
orstoreitinaproperlylabeledcontainerawayfromchildrenand
pets.
4.Drainradiatorintoasuitablecontainereitherbyusingthedraincock(item
30inFigure51)ontheleftsideoftheradiatororbydisconnectingthelower
radiatorhosefromtheradiator.Ensurethatthedraincontainerislarge
enoughtoholdcoolingsystemcontents;refertoSpecications(page3–2).
IMPORTANT
Followalllocalcodesandregulationswhenrecyclingordisposing
enginecoolant.
5.Removeaircleanerinlethosefrominletintopofradiatorframe;referto
AirCleanerAssembly(page3–8).
6.Disconnectradiatorhoses(upperandlower)fromtheradiator/oilcooler.
7.Loosenhoseclampandremoveoverowhosefromradiatorllopening.
8.Remove2button-headscrews(item3inFigure51)andangenutsthat
securecoolantreservoirbrackettofanshroudandradiatorframe.Carefully
positionreservoirandbracketawayfromthefanshroud.
9.ReadtheGeneralPrecautionsforRemovingandInstallingtheHydraulic
SystemComponents(page6–145).
