TestProcedure
1.Determinewhichreelmotorismalfunctioning.
2.Parkmachineonalevelsurfacewiththecuttingunitsloweredandreel
engageswitchOFF.Ensurethattheengineisshutoffandmow/transport
leverisinMOW.Applytheparkingbrake.
3.ReadallWarning,Cautions,andprecautionslistedatthebeginningofthis
section.
CAUTION
Beforeopeninghydraulicsystem,operateallhydrauliccontrolsto
relievesystempressureandavoidinjuryfrompressurizedhydraulic
uid;refertoReleasingPressurefromtheHydraulicSystem(page
6–8).
Note:Thereelmotorsareconnectedinseries.Toisolateadamagedmotor,
allmotorsinthecircuitmayhavetobetestedbystartingwiththeupstream
motorrst.

4.Forreelmotortobetested,cleanjunctionofthemotorcasedrainhose
(smalldiameterhose)whereitconnectstotractionunitbulkhead(notatthe
motor)(Figure98).Disconnectthecasedrainhoseandputasteelcapon
thebulkheadttingatthetractionunit.Leavethecasedrainhosefromthe
motoropenandplaceopenendofdisconnectedhoseintoadrainpan.
IMPORTANT
Ensurethattheuidowindicatorarrowontheowgaugeis
showingthattheuidwillowfromthereelmotor,throughthe
testerandintothereturnhose.
5.Onreelmotortobetested,cleanjunctionofhydraulicreturnhose(rearhose)
andreelmotortting.Disconnectreturnhosefromthemotor.Installtester
withpressuregaugeandowmeterinserieswiththemotoranddisconnected
returnhose.Ensurethattheowcontrolvalveontesterisfullyopen.
