Beforeopeningthehydraulicsystem,operateallthehydraulic
controlstoreleasesystempressureandavoidinjuryfromthe
pressurizedhydraulicuid;refertoReleasingPressurefromthe
HydraulicSystem(page6–8).
2.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingunits,shutoffthe
engine.EnsurethatthemowspeedlimiterisintheTRANSPORTpositionto
allowfullmovementofthetractionpedal.

section.
4.EnsurethatthetractionpedaliscorrectlyadjustedfortheNEUTRALposition.
Also,ensurethatthetractionpumpisatfullstrokewhentractionpedalis
pressedfullyinforwardposition.
5.Liftandsupportthemachinesothatallthewheelsareofftheground;refer

Ensurethattheuidowindicatorarrowontheowmeteris
showingthattheuidwillowfromthepump,throughthetester,
andintothedisconnectedhydraulichose.
7.Installatesterwiththepressuregaugeandowmeterinseriesbetween
tractionpumpttingandthedisconnectedhose.
8.Usethehydraulichosekittoconnecttestertothemachine;refertoSpecial
Tools(page6–44).Ensurethatthettingandhoseconnectionsareproperly
tightened.Also,ensurethattheowcontrolvalveontesterisfullyopen.
