TestProcedure
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfacewiththereelengageswitchoff,lowerthe
cuttingunits,shutofftheengine,mowspeedlimiterisintheMOWposition,
andsettheparkingbrake.
CAUTION
Beforeopeningthehydraulicsystem,operateallthehydraulic
controlstoreleasesystempressureandavoidinjuryfromthe
pressurizedhydraulicuid;refertoReleasingPressurefromthe
HydraulicSystem(page6–8).
2.ReadallWarning,Cautions,andprecautionslistedatthebeginningofthis
section.
3.Liftandsupporttheoperatorseattogetaccesstothehydraulicpump.

4.Identifythesuspectpumpsectionthatistobetested(Figure132).
5.Cleanthejunctionofgearpumpttingandthehydraulicoutlethose,and
thendisconnectthehosefromthepumptting:
•Pumpsection(P1)fortherearcuttingunits.
•Pumpsection(P2)forthefrontcuttingunits.
IMPORTANT
Ensurethattheuidowindicatorarrowontheowgaugeis
showingthattheuidwillowfromthegearpump,throughthe
tester,andintothehose.Theengineneedstobestartedwiththe
testerconnected.Routethetesterhosessothatthetestercanbe
readwhileoperatorseatisfullyloweredandoccupied.
6.Installatesterwiththepressuregaugeandowmeterinseriesbetweenthe
disconnectedhoseandthegearpumptting.Ensurethattheowcontrol
valveonthetesterisfullyopen.
7.Ensurethatthehydraulicuidisatnormaloperatingtemperatureby
operatingthemachineforatleast10minutes.
