1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingunits,shutoffthe
engine,settheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.

(Figure185).Removetheshroudfromthemachinetogetaccesstothe
steeringcontrolvalve.
3.Locateandretrievethe2rubberbushingsandspacers.
4.Slidetherubberbellowsupfromthebottomofthesteeringcolumn.
5.Supportthesteeringcolumntopreventitfromfalling.
6.Loosenandremovethe4ange-headscrewsand4angenutsthatsecure
thesteeringcolumnbrace(item12inFigure184)tothemachine,and
removethebrace.
