IMPORTANT
Followalllocalcodesandregulationswhenrecyclingordisposing
enginecoolant.
5.Disconnectradiatorhoses(upperandlower)fromtheradiator.
6.Removeaircleanerinlethosefromairintakeonfanshroud;refertoAir
CleanerAssembly(page3–8).
7.Loosenhoseclampandremoveoverowhosefromradiatorllopening.
8.Remove2ange-headscrewsand2angenutsthatsecurecoolantreservoir
andbracketstofanshroud.Carefullypositionreservoirandbracketsaway
fromthefanshroud.
9.Remove5ange-headscrewsand5angenutsthatsecureairintakescreen
toradiatorframeandfanshroud.Removescreenandfoamseal.Locate
andretrieve5spacers.
10.Removeange-headscrewsandangenutsthatsecurefanshroudand
radiatortoradiatorframe.Positionfanshroudawayfromtheradiator.
11.Carefullypullradiatorassemblyfromthemachine.Plugradiatorandhose
openingstopreventcontamination.
12.Inspectallfoamsealsplacedbetweenradiator,fanshroudandradiator
frame.Replacedamagedfoamseals.
InstallingtheRadiatorAssembly
1.Removeplugsplacedinradiatorandhoseopeningsduringtheremoval
procedure.
2.Carefullypositionradiatorassemblytotheradiatorframe.Positionfan
shroudtotheradiator.
3.Securefanshroudandradiatortoradiatorframewithremovedange-head
screwsandangenuts.Ensurethatatleast6.4mm(0.250inch)clearance
existsatallpointsbetweenshroudopeningandfan.
4.Positioncoolantreservoirandbracketstothefanshroud.Securereservoirto
fanshroudandradiatorframewith2ange-headscrewsand2angenuts.
5.Placespacersintoholesinfoamseal.Positionfoamsealandairintake
screentoradiatorframe.Securescreenwith5ange-headscrewsand5
angenuts.
6.Connectupperandlowerradiatorhosestoradiatorandsecurewithclamps.
Torquetheclampsto3.4to4.5N∙m(30to40in-lb).
7.Connectoverowhosetoradiatorllopeningandsecurewithhoseclamp.
8.Installandsecureaircleanerinlethose;refertoAirCleanerAssembly(page
3–8).
9.Ensureradiatordraincockisclosed(threadedoutfully).Fillradiatorwith
coolant.
10.Lowerandsecurehood.
11.Installandsecurescreentorearofmachine.
12.Startengine.Checkforcoolantleaksandproperengineoperation.
