2 COPY FUNCTIONS
Checking the status information and function settings
You can check the current status information of the equipment or the current function settings on the basic setting menu.
Checking the status information
Follow the steps below to check the status information.

Press the [SETTING/OK] button to enter the basic setting menu.

Press the , , , or button to select the information icon.

Press the [SETTING/OK] button.

Press the or button to scroll through the “INFORMATION” menu so that you can
check the following status information.

When you are finished with checking, press the or button to select “CLOSE”.
Information icon Message (Status) Description
On TIME FOR MAINTENANCE This message is displayed when the maintenance is required.
Blink TONER NOT RECOGNIZED This message is displayed when the toner is not recognized.
On TONER NEAR EMPTY This message is displayed when the toner is nearly empty.
Blink CAN NOT USE THIS SIZE This message is displayed when the current paper size cannot be
used for the selected function.

F1: ID CARD
The default “F1” and “F2 functions can be changed and they are
displayed accordingly. The default “F1” function varies from region to
region: “DENSITY” for the regions other than Europe and “ID CARD”
for Europe. The default “F2” function is “ZOOM” for all regions.
