Is there any paper remaining on the transport path in the finisher or equipment, or on the fin-
ishing tray?

ÆYES Remove the paper.

Is the jam cleared by taking off the staple cartridge from the finisher and removing the staple
sheet slid from the staple case?

ÆYES End.
NO
Is there any mechanical problem when the actuator of the stapler interference sensor (S11) is
moved?

ÆYES Reinsert the clip which fixes the actuator from the side of it.
NO
Is the harness between the stapler and the finisher control PC board (CN2) disconnected or
open circuited?

ÆYES • Reconnect the connector securely.
• Replace the harness.
NO
Are the harnesses in the stapler disconnected or open circuited?

ÆYES • Reconnect the connector securely.
• Replace the harness.
