DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
2.
REMOVE FLUID COUPLING WITH FAN AND
WATER PUMP PULLEY
3. REMOVE PS BRACKETS
4. REMOVE DISTRIBUTOR
5. REMOVE VALVE ROCKER SHAFT ASSEMBLY
(See steps 10 to 12 on pages EM-19)
6. REMOVE PUSH ROD COVER
Remove the ten bolts, two nuts, push rod cover and
gasket.
7. REMOVE VALVE LIFTERS
Remove the twelve valve lifters in order, beginning from
the No. 1 valve lifter.

HINT: Arrange the valve lifters in correct order.
