• Care shall be taken not to contact overhead installations
such as lights, wiring, pipes, sprinkler systems, etc.
• Always ensure there is sufcient height and width for the
truck to pass.
• A load backrest extension shall be used when necessary to
guard against a load, or part of it, from falling toward the
operator.
• In areas classied as hazardous, use only trucks approved
for use in those areas.
• Report all accidents involving personnel, building structures,
and equipment to the supervisor or as directed.
• Do not block access to re aisles, stairways, or re
equipment.

• Do not sit on the forks (when loaded or not) or get under the
forks or operator’s platform.
• Do not permit riders on any part of the truck at any time. The
operator is the only one who should be on a truck.
