OPERATING THE TRUCK
OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES (cont’d)
STARTING AND OPERATING (cont’d)
6. Sound horn if in blind area.
7. Select a direction to travel.
TRAVELING
While traveling, the forks should be raised approximately 200 mm (8 in.)
above the ground. Always have reach fully retracted during any travel,
whether loaded or unloaded.
WARNING
!
!
Avoid quick steering or acceleration as this may cause an
accident, which could result in serious injury or death.
TURNING
The smaller the radius of a turn to be made, the lower the speed of the
forklift should be. When making a sharp turn, always drive the forklift at
a reduced or slow speed.
WARNING
!
!
Because the movement of forklift is different from that of a
passenger car, when turning, slow down and look around.
Do not make a turn with the forks lifted higher than
necessary or at a high speed. This could cause the forklift to
become unbalanced, and could cause an accident that could
result in serious injury or death.
