REASSEMBLY
1. Install cutting head adapter (2" cutting
head only). If adapter has a face seal in
need of repair, nose seal element and “O”
ring can be replaced without removing seal
body (Figure 33). Position adapter over
spindle flange and align mounting holes.
2. Install impeller. Replace fasteners and
tighten securely.
NOTE:
Dio-Cut impeller for 3" cutting head
has an impeller plate with “O” ring. Install
new “O” ring if necessary.
3. Install cutting head and fasten securely.
Cutting head must be properly seated.
Release motor brake (Figure 34) and
rotate impeller backward (counterclock-
wise) several times by hand to make cer-
tain there is no metal to metal contact.

WARNING:
Keep fingers away from cut-
ting head! Do not pinch fingers between cut-
ting head and impeller. Cutting edges are
sharp and could cause injury.
4. Install feed adapter. Mating surfaces must
be clean and free of nicks and burrs.
Fasten adapter in place.
5. Install upper enclosure and funnel hop-
per. Align safety switch sensor and actua-
tor on enclosure and secure with hand
knobs.
