INSPECTION
Knife Holders: Inspect for nicks or burrs
and file or hone if necessary
Knife Holder Inserts: Inspect for wear and
rounding at the end opposite the knife. Replace
if necessary.
Knifes: Discard when dull or damaged.
Sharpening should not be attempted.
Impeller: Replace when leading edges of
impeller blades become rounded from wear.
Knife clamps: Use gauge provided to
check clamps (Figure 42). Set gauge and
clamp on a flat surface. If beveled edge of
clamp slips under ledge of gauge, clamp
should be discarded.
