Brake motors (Figure 8) are provided to
reduce “coasting” stops of potentially dan-
gerous parts of the machine. When the
“STOP” button on the starter enclosure is
pushed, all rotating parts come to a rapid
stop.

Covers and guards protect potentially
dangerous machine areas. These covers
and guards are of utmost importance to
safe machine operation.
Never attempt to
operate the machine with a cover or
guard removed or serious injury may
occur!
Covers and guards, safety signs, safety
switches, and brake motors are standard
equipment on newly manufactured machines
and are available for placement on older ma-
chines that may not have had them at the time
