Therearethreedifferentoptionstotriggeradispensesequence:
bytouchpanelontheMDC3200Acontroller

usethecommand“VALVE:OPEN“

Tocombineamultitudeofdotstoapredefinedstructure(e.g.alineoracircle),useoneof
thefollowingfourmodes:
BurstMode
AsingletriggerimpulsebyPLCsignalcausesapredefinednumberofdispensecycles.
‐NumberofPulses:predefinedvalue(e.g.1‐32000)
Single‐ShotMode
EverydispensepointistriggeredbyanindividualPLCsignal.Whendispensingacontinuous
feature(suchasastraightlineoracircle),thefrequencyofthedispensetriggersignal
shouldbeproportionaltothetrajectoryspeedoftheaxissystem.Thisisnecessaryto
achievea
continuouslinewidth.

ContinuousdispensingaslongasthePLCtriggerinputis“logic1”.Dispensingwill
stopwhenthesignalischangedto“logic0”

The“ExternalMode”willshifttheresponsibilityoftimecontroloftheparameter
“OpenTime”tothehigherlevelmachinecontrol.(Thismayrequireaveryprecise
timecontrolofthehigherlevelPLC.)Asaresult,thevalvewouldfunctionlikea
“Time‐Pressure‐Valve”.

Whenthetriggersignalissetto“logic1”,thevalvewillopen.Itwillremainopen
aslongasthetriggersignalremainson“logic1”.Itwillstarttoclosewhenthe
triggersignalisswitchedto“logic0”.
ParameterslikeRising,FallingandNeedle
LiftwillbeexecutedassavedintheMDCmemory(presetvalues).
Afterthevalvehascompletelyclosedthecontrollerisreadytoreceivethenext
triggersignaltostarttheprocessagain.
INFORMATION!(opentimeandneedlelift)
Themaximumvalueforthe
“OpenTime”islimitedto15ms,ifthe“NeedleLift”isset
tomorethan80%.Thelengthofthe“OpenTime”dependsonthePLC‐signal(log‐
ic1).
