Energy cockpit
For graphic display of energy consumption, solar utilisation, temper-
ature stratification and fault diagnosis in conjunction with Vitotronic
200, type HO2B. Visualisation of the operating state and solar yield
via remote control, app and internet.
Function only possible with the following DHW cylinders and
Vitotronic 200 control unit, type HO2B:
Vitosolar 300-F (set of contact temperature sensors, pre-assem-
bled and part of standard delivery)
Vitocell 100-U/-W, type CVUC-A (set of contact temperature sen-
sors, pre-assembled and part of standard delivery)
Vitocell 100-B, type CVB / CVBB
Vitocell 140/160-E
Vitocell 340/360-M
Order the set of contact temperature sensors separately if it is not
part of the standard delivery.
Cylinder temperature limit
The solar circuit pump will be switched OFF if the set cylinder tem-
perature is exceeded.
Collector cooling function with Vitosolic 100 and 200
The solar circuit pump is switched off when the set cylinder tempera-
ture is reached. The solar circuit pump is switched on long enough to
enable this temperature to fall by 5 K if the collector temperature
rises to the selected maximum collector temperature. The cylinder
temperature can then rise further, but only up to 95 °C.
Reverse cooling function with Vitosolic 100 and 200
This function is only sensible if the collector cooling function has
been enabled. If the set cylinder temperature is reached, the solar
circuit pump will be started to prevent the collector from overheating.
In the evening, the pump will run for as long as required to cool the
DHW cylinder down to the set cylinder temperature via the collector
and the pipework.
Information regarding the collector cooling and reverse cooling
functions
Ensure the intrinsic safety of the solar thermal system, even if the
collector temperature continues to rise after the system has reached
all limit temperatures, by accurately sizing the diaphragm expansion
vessel. Where stagnation occurs or for collector temperatures that
rise further, the solar circuit pump will be blocked or stopped (emer-
gency collector shutdown) to avoid thermal overloading of the con-
nected components.
Collector emergency stop
In order to protect the system components, the solar circuit pump is
switched off if the adjustable collector limit temperature is exceeded.
In the Vitosol-FM and 300-TM switching collectors, the collector tem-
perature limit can be set to 145 °C. To do so, please comply with the
manufacturer system pressure specification. This enables solar cir-
cuit pump operation even when the system is shut down.
Ensure the following
The components in the solar circuit flow line must be designed for
a temperature of 145 °C.
The return line temperature can be a maximum of 120 °C.
Minimum collector temperature limit
If the actual temperature falls below the minimum collector tempera-
ture, the solar circuit pump is shut down.
