2. Specicaons herein are representave of four-fold gates: two gate panels to fold one way (le hand
gate with hinges on le side); two gate panels to fold the other way (right hand gate with hinges
on right side). Four-fold gates, dened as bi-folding gates, are mounted on two separate columns.
Single-folding (i.e., two panels mounted on one column) “half” gates follow essenally the same
dimensional requirements as four-folds, with gate width cut in half: up to 11.5 feet (3.5m)- PDXT
Series [or 12 feet (3.66m)- PDTT Series].
3. Inll, panel, hardware and support selecons are dependent on gate height and weight. Height
aects the gate’s wind load. The taller the gate, the exponenally greater the wind load. Also, solid
inll increases wind load; maximum available size recommendaons vary accordingly. Installaon
applicaons, such as high trac ow areas, are another instance in which recommended gate size
may be less than the maximum.
