DETAILS ON HOW TO OPERATE THE GATE
Details on How to Operate the Gate
Following a Hard Shutdown, and prior to reseng the system, it is the sole responsibility of the user to
ensure the area is free of obstrucons and that it is safe to operate the Gate. Refer to “Table 2. Inherent
Entrapment Sensor (IES) Shutdown Modes” on page 27 and Table 3. Tripped External Entrapment
Sensor Modes” on page 35 for more detailed informaon about reseng the gate operator.
The gate pathway and surrounding areas should be checked for obstrucons and conrmed all-clear
before operaon is resumed.
Controlled Constant Contact Operaon
Controlled constant contact sustained operaon requires a controlled constant contact open command
with a controlled constant contact close command.
This mode of operaon requires qualied personnel
to depress and connue to hold down the open or close push-buon during gate operaon. When the
gate is in manual automac operaon it is up to the user to ensure that the gate area is clear of obstacles.
When the area is clear and safe only then should the gate be given a command.
Automac Controlled Momentary Operaon
Automac controlled momentary operaon uses a controlled open command with a mer to close OR
uses a controlled open command with a controlled close command (e.g., card access). When the gate is
in automac operaon it is up to the customer to provide adequate signage and road markings to indicate
the unsafe zone of the gate.
