UL61800-5-1,standards,notethefollowinginformation:
“Trip”currentequalto1.25timesthemotorratedcurrent(C2.1.5)adjustedintheOriented“Start-up
”menu.
ThemaximumvalueofparameterC7.4.6(MotorThermalClass)is3(class20).
ThemaximumvalueforC2.1.11(Motorservicefactor)is1.15.
ThemaximumvalueoftheoverloadcurrentparametersC7.4.3,C7.4.4andC7.4.5is100%.

Thecharacteristicsofthecableusedtoconnectthemotortotheinverter,aswellasitsinterconnectionandrouting,
areextremelyimportanttoavoidelectromagneticinterferenceinotherequipmentandnottoaffectthelifecycleof
windingsandbearingsofthecontrolledmotors.

3.2.4.3.1Motorcables
Unshieldedcables:
CanbeusedwhenitisnotnecessarytomeettheEuropeandirectiveofelectromagneticcompatibility(IEC61800-
3).
Theemissionofthecablesmaybereducedbyinstallingtheminsideametalconduit,whichshallbegrounded
atbothends.
Itisnecessarytoconnectafourthcablebetweenthemotorgroundandtheinverterground.
NOTE!
Themagneticfieldcreatedbythecurrentcirculationinthesecablesmayinducecurrentinclosemetal
pieces,heatthem,andcauseadditionalelectricallosses.Therefore,keepthe3(three)cables(U,V,
W)alwaystogether.
Shieldedcables:
Theyaremandatorywhenitisnecessarytocomplywiththeelectromagneticcompatibilitystandard,asdefined
byIEC61800-3standard“AdjustableSpeedElectricalPowerDriveSystems”.
Thesecablesactmainlybyreducingtheirradiatedemissionintheradio-frequencyrange.
Inreferencetothetypeanddetailsofinstallation,followtherecommendationsofIEC60034-25“GuideForDesign
andPerformanceofCageInductionMotorsSpecificallyDesignedForConverterSupply”,refertoasummaryin
Figure3.15.Refertothestandardforfurtherdetailsandeventualmodificationsrelatedtonewrevisions.
Thegroundingsystemshallbewellinterconnectedamongtheseveralinstallationlocationssuchasthegrounding
pointsofthemotorandtheinverter.Voltagedifferenceorimpedancebetweentheseveralpointsmaycause
thecirculationofleakagecurrentsamongtheequipmentconnectedtotheground,resultinginelectromagnetic
interferenceproblems.
