At the top of the Alarm Configuration page is a LOG button. Clicking on the LOG button will
open up the event log, which displays a volatile list of events that have happened since the
last reset or power cycle of the unit. The Alarm Configuration page event log (shown in Fig-
ure 3:13) event information is displayed in 5 columns: Source, Error Condition, Level,
Begin Time, and End Time.
The Alarm Configuration page event log will show the last 300 events. Once the list of
events reaches this limit, the oldest event is removed so that the a new event can be
added to the list and displayed.
Table 3.3: Event Types Configurable for Alarms, Warnings, or No Indications
Event Description
Null packets only on input Applies to RF, ASI and GbE inputs, when no MPEG stream can be found.
No PAT Applies to RF, ASI and GbE inputs, No PAT PID can be found.
Missing PMT Applies to RF, ASI and GbE inputs, PMT referenced in PAT, but is not in MPEG stream.
Missing PCR Applies to RF, ASI and GbE inputs, PCR referenced in PMT, but is not in MPEG stream.
PCR tracking error Applies to all output ports, PCR value is out of tracking range, NOTE, this event will hap-
pen when new programs are added to output, but should clear after 30 seconds.
No MGT Applies to RF, ASI and GbE inputs, missing MGT is stream.
Pass thru PID missing Applies to RF, ASI and GbE inputs, PID referenced in PMT, but is not in MPEG stream.
No ASI lock Applies to ASI inputs, MPEG sync can not be detected.
No carrier lock Applies to RF inputs, no signal at desired frequency or low signal level.
Low SNR Applies to RF inputs, Mis-aligned antenna or bad cable.
Signal is NTSC Applies to RF inputs, channel setting is analog type.
Null packets only on output Applies to all outputs, no programs selected for output or desired programs not available.
Oversubscribed Applies to all outputs, total payload for selected programs are greater than output data
rate. Video and or audio interruptions are possible.
Tables oversubscribed Applies to all outputs, total payload for selected programs is equal or just greater than
output data rate. PSIP information MAYBE not going out at the correct rate.
Remap table full Applies to all outputs, too many programs are selected for output stream.
Timesource Missing Applies to RF, ASI and GbE inputs, the desired signal for time reference source can not
be found.
Gigabit Ethernet module not
responding
Applies to optional GbE module, Main processor failed to communicate with module.
GbE Link Down Applies to optional output GbE module, Output can not detect Destination IP address.
No GbE Stream Lock Applies to optional input GbE module, no input stream can be detected.
Unknown Stream Type Applies to RF, ASI and GbE inputs, stream type code in PMT is not supported.
Duplicate Pidset Applies to RF and ASI inputs, when two programs are selected, one by program number
and other by PSIP name, are both the same program.
