DTV 720 USER’S MANUAL
800043-01 Rev. C 44 www.wegener.com
Normal
Operation
The LEDs are shown here reflecting the DTV 720 in normal operation with no Alarms or
Warnings (the WARNING and ALARM LEDs are unlit, ASI OUT LOCK is lit, and one or more
of the OPTION MOD or ASI LOCK LEDs are lit):
4.3 Alarms
ALARM:
Input Missing
Video is lost when an incoming signal is lost. When an OPTION MOD (if an optional RF port
is installed) or ASI LOCK LED is inactive or unlit for a port or ports from which an input
stream is expected, the ALARM LED will light (shown below). Check input sources and
connections.
ALARM: PAT
or PMT
Missing
Video is lost when the incoming signal is missing either the PAT or PMT. When the ALARM
LED is lit and both the ASI 1 LOCK and the ASI OUT LOCK LEDs are lit then the transport
stream does not have sufficient PSI information included. Check with the service provider
to ensure that the source is correct.
4.4 Warnings
WARNING:
Unit Over-
subscribed
An oversubscription alarm means that the total rate of the selected inputs is greater than
the selected output rate. A corrupt signal is output from the DTV 720. Oversubscription
results in errors in the video output. On the front panel, this is indicated by a lit ALARM
LED and an unlit ASI OUT LOCK LED (shown below). Solve the problem by reducing the
number of input programs to fit the combined input data rate within the selected output
data rate.
