Engine Coolant - Check / Fill
Use a low-silicate (ethylene glycol) antifreeze and clean water mixture.
NOTICE: Never add pure antifreeze to a cooling system. Use a 50/50 water/antifreeze mixture.
Never use high-silicate antifreeze or antifreeze that is higher than a 60/40 mixture.
1. Remove cooling system fill cap (1) slowly to relieve
pressure.
2. Maintain coolant level so it is visible in sight glass.
3. Clean cooling system fill cap and check condition of
fill cap gasket. Replace cooling system fill cap if
gasket is damaged. Reinstall cooling system fill cap.
4. Inspect cooling system for leaks.
Engine Mounts - Inspect
Engine vibration can be caused by loose engine
mounting bolts or deteriorated engine mounts.
1. Inspect engine mounts (1) for deterioration. Replace
any mount that is deteriorated. Check engine
mount bolts for correct torque of 430 ft-lb
(580 Nm).
WARNING
Hot fluid under pressure can scald.
Allow to cool before opening coolant cap.
