9 Protecting the environment
91 Disposing of the packaging
The packaging materials have been selected with environmental compatibility and disposal in mind and are there-
fore almost completely recyclable. Recycling the packaging saves raw materials and reduces waste.
92 Disposing of your old bike
Old bikes often contain valuable materials. They also contain certain substances, mixtures and components that
were necessary for their function and safety. If not disposed of properly, they can be harmful to human health and
the environment. For this reason, do not dispose of your child’s old bike with your domestic waste. Instead, return
it to your local recycling collection point or take it to a bike shop.
