4. Generate cross references in this state.
5. Right-click on the Cross References window, and select [Filter]. On the
display dialog, tick the “Unreferenced Variables” and “Global” checkboxes.
Click [OK].
Only global variables with no reference, in other words, unused variables, are
displayed.
6. From the figure below, we can see that device label variable DI001, DO001,
etc. are unused.
